Youth Focus Inc. Presents the Annual California State Scholarship Competition
$15,000 in Scholarships Will Be Awarded
Deadline for Entries is June 29, 2019

San Jose, CA - May 28, 2018 - The California State Scholarship Competition is open to young men and women between 17 and 24. The week-long competition awards over $15,000 in scholarships. Activities during the program include public speaking, interview and leadership training, as well as team-building and community service activities - culminating with an on-stage competition.

The contestants compete for the title of California State Ambassadress and California State Ambassador. The outstanding young woman and man selected will serve as youth ambassadors representing Youth Focus Inc. and the state of California.

As youth ambassadors, they have the opportunity to meet and interact with many civic leaders and volunteers. The majority of their responsibilities will include sharing their dedication to community service, mentoring young people and representing Youth Focus Inc. as spokespersons at community functions.

The top two winners will each receive a $5,000 scholarship.

Youth Focus inc. is a non-profit organization that has produced recognition and performing arts programs for young people in the state of California for the past 49 years. Each year, these programs impact the lives of hundreds of young people. By participating in the various competitions and programs, young people achieve greater self-confidence and learn how they can impact their communities through volunteerism and service.
