Appleseed Montessori Schools

"WE ARE THE SOWERS; OUR CHILDREN ARE THOSE WHO REAP. WE LABOR SO THAT FUTURE GENERATIONS WILL BE BETTER AND NOBLER THAN WE ARE." - MARIA MONTESSORI

AppleSeed Montessori Schools' mission is to guide and support the development of the whole child - socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically - through the Montessori teaching method. We believe each child is like a little seed, full of potential, and in need of nourishment in a well-prepared environment. Our stimulating, organized classrooms offer a wide variety of hands-on Montessori materials which children utilize independently, individually and in small groups, under the careful guidance of our well-prepared teachers.

We have six campuses in Sunnyvale and San Jose, California.

Programs: 7 AM to 6 PM

  • Infants: 2 - 18 months (Dunford Site 500)
  • Toddlers: 18 - 36 months (Dunford Site 500, Warner, De Anza, Almaden)
  • Preschool/PreKindergarten/Kindergarten: 2 1/2 - 6 years. All Campuses
  • Bilingual Program (Chinese Mandarin/English): 2 1/2 - 6 years (Dunford Site 500 & 800, Sunshine, De Anza, Almaden)

Since 1996 AppleSeed schools have served South Bay Area communities offering a high-quality, affordable Montessori-based curriculum. Full day care programs are offered for children from Infant through 1st Grade.

Concepts and skills introduced through seven interrelated hands-on subject areas help children to develop coordination, concentration, a sense of order, independence, academic progress, and creativity - all of which increase a child's confidence level and sense of self-worth. Preschool level Bilingual Mandarin language programs are available at most of our locations.

In addition to our proprietary standardized curriculum inspired by the Montessori Method, we provide Five Ingredients for Successful Learning:

  • Mixed-age groups
  • High-quality, purposeful learning materials
  • Caring, attuned teachers
  • Well-prepared environments
  • Non-competitive learning atmosphere

In addition to engaging classroom experiences, our students enjoy a wide-variety of activities and field trips to extend their learning opportunities year round.
