Do you like the movie?

I haven’t read Hamlet, but in Haider he has portrayed the Kashmir picture very
well. I am not from Kashmir but I have some relatives there. But the portrayal
of the problem of Kashmir, is a different perspective which many Indians do not
know. Its a very sensitive picturization. Bollywood tends to make biopics and
spoil them with masala. This movie is definitely not for everybody. It’s long and
tragic but excellent. It is definitely much better than Bang, Bang which is another
Hollywood rip off definitely. People should watch Haider, to get a different
perspective about Kashmir. Watch it for Bharadwaj, Gulzar, Kashmir, amazing
songs, Shahid and Tabu. Outstanding. Movie is long, does not end where we
think it would. Maybe Hamlet is that way. But I would definitely recommend
it to all to watch. Four Stars.

Yes, it’s a good movie. It did stretch a little towards the end but the
performances kept it going. The plot of course is very intriguing, you know
about his father and all. All in all man lag gaya (my heart was set).
It is a good film.

Though the outline is Hamlet, it was
more of a political drama. I enjoyed most
of it. I am trying hard not to cry.
The way it was adopted to the situation in Kashmir was awesome. I was expecting
more (time) from the gravedigger scene. I came to this movie for Gulzar and
Bharadwaj. Tabu and Shahid were the best. The Salman Khans were very well
adapted.
Shakespeare would have been satisfied with this adaptation. I would give five stars to this film.

I like the movie. It has very good performances.
But a little slow and depressing.
