Santa Clara County's "Salute To Youth" Celebrates 42 Years.
Nominations for outstanding teens are due Friday, April 27, 2018

March 1, 2018, San Jose, CA. "Salute to Youth" is a prestigious youth awards program sponsored by Youth Focus Inc. Celebrating 42 years, it honors young people of merit for their outstanding accomplishments. The program awards over $3,000 in educational scholarships.

Applications may come from the student along with a letter of recommendation from a counselor or teacher, or a young person may be nominated by a community service or fraternal organization, county or city agencies, community leaders, ministers, teachers, coaches or school counselors. Applications and Nominations can be made online at the Youth Focus website at http://youthfocusinc.org/programs/salute-to-youth/

The winners are celebrated at an event being held at the San Jose Masonic Center in San Jose on Tuesday, May 8.

The "Salute to Youth" program began 42 years ago as a way to recognize young people throughout Santa Clara County who have achieved something of significance that sets them apart from the norm. As an organization totally committed to the advancement of youth, Youth Focus Inc. is proud to sponsor this event where these young people and adults are recognized and celebrated.

Youth Focus Inc. is a non-profit organization in San Jose, California that provides well-structured programs and competitions to benefit the youth in our community and provide scholarships for higher education. Youth Focus Inc was started more than 49 years ago with the goal to engage young people in activities and programs and recognize their accomplishments.

"Salute to Youth" takes place Tuesday, May 8 at the San Jose Masonic Center
2500 Masonic Drive, San Jose, California.
Doors open at 6:30 PM
