In its inaugural year, Desi Dance Convention (DDCON) will give dancers the opportunity to step out of their comfort zones and experience different genres of dance in an environment that cultivates their curiosity and passion for the performing arts. DDCON will feature networking mixers, dance workshops, professional development workshops, and a variety of artistic development panels. Desi Dance Con will carefully choose a faculty of dancers, choreographers, and panelists from within the competitive collegiate circuit, as well as the professional (dance) industry. In doing so, Desi Dance Con will become a platform that not only help dancers cultivate new strengths, but also showcase existing talent amongst our community. To escape the stress of competition weekends and increase opportunities for dancers to meet other dancers with similar interests, DDCON will be a collaborative environment dedicated to artistic and professional growth.
