phone Where :
CHC , 650 Clark Way, Palo Alto, CA, United States - 94304

Description:

Join us for this 2-part series to understand why DBT skills can be helpful when treating youth with severe depression.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is currently gaining widespread recognition as the only well-established treatment for decreasing suicidal feelings or self-harming behaviors in adolescent youth. In this session, Dr. Stephanie Clarke, Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Stanford University School of Medicine, and clinician at RISE Comprehensive DBT Intensive Outpatient Program will share how DBT’s problem solving and acceptance-based approaches are helping teens build lives worth living.

Join us for Part II of Understanding the Foundations of DBT, as Dr. Anna Parnes, PhD, Psychologist at CHC and clinician at RISE Comprehensive DBT Intensive Outpatient Program, continues the discussion with DBT skills and experiential activities for each DBT modules: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Distress Tolerance, and Emotion Regulation.

Although it would be most beneficial if you attended both sessions, you are more than welcome to register for one if you are unable to attend both.
