Kidz Kraftz

If your child has an interest in sewing, fashion design, or jewelry-making, look no further than KIDZ KRAFTZ in Dublin, CA.

Owner Irina Etinberg, who was born in Ukraine, started the company in 2007 and is passionate about teaching the creative art of sewing and fashion design not only to children, age 6 and older, but to adults as well.

Irina learned the basics of sewing from her mother when she was still a child, making doll clothes on an antique sewing machine without a foot pedal, and hand-sewing lace trims to her school uniform. As an adult, Irina has never forgotten her love for sewing and fashion. After 10 years in the financial industry, she was ready to concentrate on her creative passion. Going back to college to pursue certification in fashion design and merchandising, she has realized her dream of teaching and design, which ultimately launched KIDZ KRAFTZ.

In the KIDZ KRAFTZ’s bright newly expanded studio, equipped with quality sewing and serger machines from Babylock, Brother and Elna, strands of beads for jewelry-making and fashion design concepts on the walls, Irina provides a nurturing and comfortable environment, that is not only inspirational, but also fun. Children look forward to their sewing lessons every week and they are so excited to sew that for most parents, it is difficult to get their kids to leave. The classes are offered year round for both children and adults, while during school breaks and holidays, day camp is a great option for kids. Fashion Design & Sewing Summer Camp is one of the most popular camps offered by KIDZ KRAFTZ, with over 115 spots filled last year. Students come from all over Bay Area and sometimes from other states and even other countries.

The studio’s goal is to teach sewing skills to children and teens using kid-friendly patterns and introduce them to fashion design concepts, including pattern design and fashion illustration. The focus is on sewing wearable and stylish clothing as well as creating craft projects. Sewing their own clothes provides students with an opportunity to be creative, solve problems, as well as improve their math and reading comprehension skills.

Every spring, Irina participates in the San Ramon Community Fair, and is otherwise actively involved in the local community, donating services to many local schools in the Tri-Valley area, including being elected as one of the judges for the widely publicized annual Trashion Show that showcases “reduce, reuse, recycle“ student – made fashion at Sunol Glen School.

Besides regular classes and camps, Irina offers sewing and jewelry-making parties, “Mommy and Me” classes, Girl Scouts and private lessons. All classes and camps are customizable, based on individual skill level. Flexible scheduling and FREE fabric for 1st lesson are just some of the perks which can be enjoyed at KIDZ KRAFTZ.

So, come and bring your creative ideas to life at KIDZ KRAFTZ!
