Mukti Music — Global Music. Creative Voices. Meaningful Connections.

Mukti Music is a Palo Alto–based music school and creative community founded by Recording Academy Voting Member, international vocalist, and educator Ramya Shankar. We are a community of global families brought together by a love of music, culture, creativity, and connection.

Mukti Music offers two signature programs: Raga Bubbles and the Indo-Western Choir & Ensemble.

RAGA BUBBLES | Early Music | Ages 0–5
Raga Bubbles is a unique early-childhood music program—and the only program of its kind for this age group—introducing babies, toddlers, and preschoolers to Indian ragas, rhythm, singing, movement, and music from around the world. Children learn naturally through play, exploration, repetition, and connection with their caregivers, building an early foundation for pitch, rhythm, listening, and a lifelong love of music.

INDO-WESTERN CHOIR & ENSEMBLE | Grades 1–10
Our one-of-a-kind choir and ensemble is offered in three groups: Grades 1–3, Grades 4–6, and Grades 7–10. Students explore Indian and Western music alongside jazz, global, contemporary, and film repertoire while developing strong vocal and ensemble skills.

Most importantly, we lean into the creativity of children. We want students to do more than reproduce what they are taught. They are encouraged to experiment, interpret, contribute ideas, improvise, collaborate, and discover their own musical voices.

We welcome children who genuinely enjoy singing and making music with others, and warm, supportive families who value commitment, creativity, cultural curiosity, and community.

Mukti Music is a place where excellent musicianship, global traditions, and children's imaginations meet.

Come sing. Create. Belong.
