Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose invites families to attend Proud of My Family, a colorful and welcoming celebration honoring all types of families, especially LGBTQIA+ parents, relatives, and friends. One of the few Pride events designed specifically for young children and their families, the annual event promotes understanding, belonging, and appreciation for family diversity through hands-on activities, creativity, music, and play.

Proud of My Family fosters understanding and awareness of family diversity while celebrating the shared hopes, dreams, and connections that unite families of all kinds. The event is part of the Museum’s ongoing cultural celebrations program, which promotes belonging, empathy, and community connection.

Special activities include:

• Rainbow Dance Zone
• Family art activities in the Neiman Art Studio
• Commemorative family photo opportunities
• Rainbow streamer and parade sign making
• Interactive visitor parades led by Cosplay with Pride at 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
