Stolen Lives by Mark Mc Loughlin

Stolen Lives is an award-winning documentary that tells the extraordinary true story of Sunny Jacobs and Peter Pringle, the only married couple who were, separately, wrongfully accused of killing two police officers, sentenced to death, and later exonerated. Told through Sunny's and Peter's own words, the film traces their lives from the events that led to their convictions through years spent navigating deeply flawed justice systems founded on questionable policy and procedure. Sunny spent 17 years on death row in the United States, while Peter, the last man sentenced to death in Ireland, served 15 years in prison before his conviction was overturned.

Following the screening, award-winning Irish filmmaker Mark Mc Loughlin will discuss the making of the documentary, his work exploring contemporary human rights issues through film, and the enduring questions Stolen Lives raises about justice, accountability, resilience, and redemption.
