NDNU Announces Summer Speakers Series on Impacts of the Pandemic

 Local therapists will address impact of the pandemic on caregivers, women, and adolescents

Belmont, Calif.  (May 24, 2021) – Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) has announced a Summer Speakers Series open to the community sponsored by its well-regarded Clinical Psychology Department.

As our communities overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, psychotherapists are now more important than ever. The public is invited to join NDNU Clinical Psychology Department Chair Dr. Helen Marlo along with local mental health professionals and NDNU Alumni as they discuss the pandemic’s impact on adolescents, caregivers, college students, and women.

The opening session on June 2, 2021 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm features Dr. Helen Marlo addressing the impact of the pandemic on caregivers.

The second session on July 14, 2021 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm features NDNU Alumnus Joe Gutierrez ‘18, MS, MBA, CATC IV, AMFT who will address the impact of isolation and the pandemic on adolescents and college students.

The final session on August 4, 2021 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm features Marcie Kay ’18, MS, MBA, AMFT, APCC and Bernadette Shu ’19, MS, AMFT discussing the pandemic’s effect on women.
