IPM: Good morning, Jean. Welcome to India Parent Magazine. Thank you so much for being here and you look so bright and lovely after your wonderful vacation and welcome again to our magazine and I'm so proud to have you on board.
Jean Tenore: Thank you, Meena. Thank you so much for having me and I'm really excited to be a part of the community.

IPM: Thank you. Jean, to start off, can you tell my readers a little bit about yourself, your background, where you've come from and your education and so on and so forth?
Jean Tenore: Absolutely. Sure. Yes. So I'm born and raised here in the Silicon Valley. My family came here in the 70s from Chicago. I attended the schools in Alameda Valley. I attended San Jose State. My children all went to the schools in Los Gatos and yeah, I started real estate early of an entrepreneurial background.

IPM: That’s awesome. And Jean, tell us why real estate? I mean, you know, you could have done anything. I met you and I know you and I know that you're so well-rounded person. So why did you choose real estate as your option? What's so special about it?
Jean Tenore: It's funny. It's been a lifelong journey. My family's been in real estate over 50 years, so it was the natural course. However, in my early 20s, after college, I had a calling to compete in athletics. And so it was like, go into real estate full force, you know, at 20 years old, or do I pursue something internally with athletics? And I went the athletic route because I thought, hey, I only have this body one time. But I always knew that real estate would be, you know, where I end up. And I am so grateful, you know, for having my family, the network that I have. And now for me, it's a personal conviction of just, I love putting people in homes. I love our community and I really enjoy what I do. So this is where I'm at. Thank you.

IPM: Thank you. And I know that, you know, you've been helping so many people. Did you feel any time that a moment of, oh, my God, I've done my best and this makes me very happy. Do you have any story to share with my readers regarding helping other people in real estate?
Jean Tenore: Oh, my goodness. So many, so many over the course of the last 30 years, if I can believe it's been that long. But, you know, it's there, there are certain moments in a transaction where, for me, it's, it's not transactional.
It's a family's future or, you know, a retiring couple's future, their retirement or somebody starting to build wealth. And so there's that moment where they start to, they go from inquiry to belief and it's belief in themselves, in their own dream, where that, I love that. And I'm so fortunate to get to experience that with people.

IPM: Absolutely. Absolutely. Thank you. And can you tell us a little bit about the cities that is the Los Gatos and Alameda Valley? Tell us a little bit about why these cities are, you know, what should I say, precious right now? And what's so special about them that people should actually invest there or move out of there, move in there?
Jean Tenore:Oh, gosh. So let's start with Los Gatos. That's where my heart is. It's my community. I grew up in Almaden and it's amazing for different reasons, but both are fantastic. Los Gatos is the heritage community. There's so much history. There's so much community, community events, gatherings, summer concert series and support with kids' programs, children's programs, integration, bringing, it's just such a safe and fun environment. Really love it. I think our holiday parade is over a hundred years and they shut the town down. The Chamber of Commerce does an awesome job. So it's just a really, really great community to be a part of.
Almaden too. So it's funny because I split my time between both. I've just now gone back to Almaden. We, we purchased a ranch there last year. So one more thing to do, but I love the country. And Almaden gives you that ability to be in the country. But also the schools are fantastic. The public schools are fantastic in Almaden Valley and the community is great there as well. It's a little different. It doesn't have the downtown vibe that Los Gatos does, but awesome, awesome community for families and children.

IPM: Absolutely. And finally, Jean, can you tell us a little bit about, you know, say for example, a young couple wants to move in to Los Gatos. Or somebody wants to move out of there for the first time. What is the first step they should take? Where should they start? Any advice for them?
Jean Tenore:Oh boy. So let's start with sellers. Sellers. I'm in real estate. Don't sell.

Don't sell if you're in these two communities. But no, life has its own plan for everybody. And actually that I'm a data-driven gal. I'm really nerdy to the core. Have a lot of passion about sustainability. However, we all have our reasons for needing to sell or wanting to sell or to move on in phases of life.

And so I think the first thing is really just sorting that out. Like what is happening and what is the goal or where are we going? And that way I can, I have an innate ability to, and so much knowledge and information to guide the process in a systematic and data-driven way. Yeah.

So that it's painless and even enjoyable. My team's like a machine. So we put the, you know, we put it into the machine and it goes, and then we get to just enjoy the experience as difficult as it can be sometimes.

IPM: So yeah. Yeah, absolutely. That's a great advice, actually, Jean. Thank you so much for being here in such an early morning too. I truly appreciate your time. Do you have anything to say to my readers finally?
Jean Tenore:What do I have to say to your readers? Well, first of all, they're in the right place. You're fantastic. I'm here because of you and your energy and the way that you pull community together. I love that. And so thank you for including me. Yeah. If you're in either one of these communities, please reach out if you, even if you're not buying or selling and you just want to talk about what's going on in real estate, we have a construction. What sets us apart is that we have a construction team in-house. We have tons of relationships and network from not myself, but my parents and in the area. So anything that has to do with your home, the roof, whatever, give us a call. And I can typically connect you with anybody in my network. I'm happy to do it.

IPM: Thank you so much. And I would like to personally say Jean is a fantastic person, one of a rare gem that you find. And I met with her and she's so, what should I say? You know, she doesn't have any chip on the shoulder. She's always available, always answering the phone calls and yet so busy and loving and caring. So please reach out to her for any questions you may have in real estate and even otherwise, like she said. Thank you, Jean, for being here today. Thank you, Meena.
Jean Tenore:Thank you. I appreciate it.
