IPM (Meena Yeggina): Good morning. Welcome to India Parent Magazine. I'm so much looking forward to working with you and you're an honor to be part of my Top 30 Women Real Estate Specialists. Welcome on board.
Jenny Wang: Thank you, Meena.

IPM: Jenny, to start off, can you tell us a little bit about yourself for my readers, your background, where you've come from and your education and so on?
Jenny Wang: Sure. So I came to the United States in my early 20s from Guangzhou, China. Okay, just like most of the other immigrant families, we have very limited resources but have a big dream to create opportunity, which seems really far out of reach. I arrived with limited resources and have determination, curiosity, and a dream. Absolutely. So before I became a real estate agent, I had a very diverse professional background that shaped the way I work today. I earned my degree in multimedia and networking, which gave me a strong communication and technology foundation. My first big opportunity was when I joined a Dubai-based marketing company which organizes international trade shows. I started in sales and learned how to speak with clients, understand their needs, and build relationships.
So through hard work and constancy, I later was promoted to be a marketing manager, where I planned promotional strategy, managed branding, and then managed other cross-functional teams. So after we moved to the United States market, I then transitioned to finance and business, which helped to develop my analytics thinking, budget skill, and a deeper understanding of investment and market circles. So all of this experience, sales, marketing, finance, communication, eventually led me to the perfect combination in real estate.

IPM: Absolutely. Oh my god, you have such an awesome background, very colorful. That's a great answer, Jenny. So much colorful background, you have fantastic experience. And also then, can you tell us a little bit about why real estate? You have so much experience in so many different fields, so why did you choose real estate and stuck to it for so long? What made you happy there?
Jenny Wang: Okay, so I believe that owning a home is more than just a financial investment. It's about stability, dignity, and roots for your family. So as an immigrant myself, I know that the value of a home base, a place where you and your loved one can feel safe, secure, and free to grow. So I want to help others to build that foundation as well, whether it's a first-time homebuyer, a growing family, or investor, to guide them carefully through what we can offer, often feel like a complicated, overwhelming process. That's what I would like to do.

IPM: Thank you. That's wonderful. So do you have any story that you can tell, how one of the families is extremely happy with you and you felt very nice about it?
Jenny Wang: Sure. So just this year, I helped a family bought a home in Millbrae. They were originally moving from Daly City. So they live in a house in Daly City after they got married, and then they have a couple kids. So what is more important to them is finding a good school district and a safe community for them to have their children grow up in. So we were able to help them to secure a deal before the house hit the market. So that they move into the house and then I plan to, after they moved in the house, then I started planning to sell their home in Daly City. So it was a very wonderful experience working with them. They were super happy with me. Like they just get before or they in May, they got their house and they are in school now for their first semester for their children.

IPM: Wow. That's awesome. When you spoke about Millbrae, can you elaborate a little bit on Millbrae? Jenny, what's so special about that city? What are the positive points that people should move there or move out of there? Can you tell us a little bit about Millbrae?
Jenny Wang: Okay. I live in Millbrae myself. I think Millbrae is not just another city, but it's a very small but vibrant community, have a lot to offer, especially for families and people who are seeking long-term stability. Millbrae's population is about 24,000 residents. The community is very diverse. We have about 49% identify as Haitian, followed by white, about 32%, and 12% Hispanic. And it enjoys a high medium household income is around $160,000 annual income, which reflect a stable, relatively affluent community. And homes in Millbrae carry a very long-term value.

Typical home values are well above the national norms and remain very competitive. And also, why is this so popular among Haitian families? It's like Millbrae has excellent school, which makes it highly desirable for all kinds of family. And this city offer both really walkable downtown charm and suburban comfort, where there's a walkable downtown area filled with shops and restaurants, and the neighborhood ranging from cozy older homes and newer homes from different needs and tastes.

Also, for commuters, Millbrae is very convenient. It's just like minutes away from SFO. It offers strong transit connecting both BART and Caltrain, making it very strategical for a traveler or commuter.

IPM: Very nice. That's lovely to know about Millbrae. I didn't know so much about Millbrae. Yeah, I thought it was very wonderful. And when I came there, I also saw that it's a beautiful city.
Jenny Wang: It's fantastic. Yeah, it's a great, nice downtown area. And I feel safe with my kids just walking downtown by themselves, even though they are like just 12 and 13, and, you know, I feel safe. This is a safe community and people are close to each other. We can always see familiar faces.

IPM: Absolutely. And finally, Jenny, can you please tell us a little bit about in case a young couple or somebody wants to move in there or move out of there for the first time, and they would like to get some advice, what is the first step they should take according to you? Where should they start?
Jenny Wang: Okay, if you're thinking of buying a home or selling a home for the first time, it's a big step. I think one of the most important decisions you can make for your future, right? The first step, I would say, get in touch with someone that you trust, like me, to map out your goal and financial readiness. Before you start looking at listings, know what you want, what you can afford, what kind of home and neighborhood fits your family's long-term plan. So from there, we can assess your options, consider neighborhoods like Millbrae or any other neighborhoods that fit. And then we build a plan that aligns with your dreams and your reality.

IPM: Awesome. Thank you so much, Jenny, for that information on Millbrae. I'm so excited to having you on board as one of the top 30 women real estate specialists in the Bay Area.
And I think it would be a great, great help to my readers who are interested in Millbrae. I'm so happy that you're here with us. Thank you so much for taking time.
Jenny Wang: Thank you so much, Meena, for interviewing me. Thank you.
